06/08/08
Welcome to the Tulare County Amateur Radio Club's Blog. This site is used to allow members to contact one another and make their posts available to all members. Some areas are reserved for active members of the Club.
We are located in Tulare County, California. Tulare County consists of a variety terrain, from the floor of the San Joaquin Valley at an average elevation near 300 feet, to Sequoia National Park, part of Kings Canyon National Park, home of the General Sherman Tree, the tallest in the world, and the General Grant Tree, the worlds largest, respectively. Tulare County also contains the highest point in the continental United States, Mount Whitney, elevation 14,505 feet. Mount Whitney cannot be seen from the valley floor.

Here's a couple of pics of the 3 tower sections being offered to the club. Sorry about the shaded areas, but it was a bit too warm to move them.

Field Day 2009
I have modified the blog categories for 2009 making one for Visalia and one for Miramonte. It was suggested that if there was not enough interest in the Visalia site, it would be integrated into the Miramonte site. Robby needs to know how many are interested in the Visalia site ASAP.
